Version 1.3 - May 4, 2005

1. Current issues

  • No known issues at this time.

2. Limitations

  • Installation must be performed manually. Scripts and instructions are provided.

3. Changes

  1. One major addition is the "Linked menus" functionality.
  2. Sorted-out problems with field names and terminology. It was not clear what field "Component", "Group", and "SubGroup" were for. Now, field names are changed to "Product Component" and "Test Component". Additional field "Test subComponent" is added and "linked" to "Test Component".
  3. Increased field size for all pulldown menus from varchar(30) to varchar(40).
  4. Added a fill-out form, which helps format "Test Procedure" and "Steps" in a uniform manner.
  5. Added "(?)" icons next to the field names and corresponding mini-help file which describes field purposes.
  6. TCMS "Browser" was modified to comply with new fields and field names (see #2). Also, 3 more choices were added to browse Test Results.
  7. Added "Field / Full-Text Search" dialog. Previously used Full-Text only search was not very precise and could return too many unwanted records.
  8. "Home" page now includes latest Test Result status information.
  9. Small icons used to jump to "View", "Edit", "Assign", etc. pages are now replaced with custom context menu.
  10. On "Query" form, additional Version field is added in "Find Test Results" box. Before, Version field from Assignment box was used for this purpose and that was confusing.
  11. Added ability to "Copy & Edit" test result record.
  12. Other minor bug fixes and improvements.
