GenieTracker is commercially available software. Currently, we offer two purchase options and two licensing methods described below. License fees are based on number of internal users. All fees are competitively priced and are necessary to support and expand software capabilities. We also offer progressive discounts for high volume customers. For small business entities we can host our Bug Tracker on our server for additional $19.95 per month (click here for details).
GenieTracker is designed with features that help your company save money and time. For example, the system will automatically deactivate user who did not login in the last 3 month, so you do not have to pay for it. All accounts created by your customers are FREE and we do not charge you based on number of products or projects being tracked. There are no hidden fees.
Named Seat - This is a combination of "Named Seat" license and
"Site" license. The system calculates actual number of billable5
user accounts and periodically reports this information to our billing system.
Your licensing fee is calculated based on average number of users, less
applicable discounts. This is most accurate and fare method.
Concurrent - Also known as "Floating". You can have as many
user accounts as you like, but only up to a number of users defined in your license
can access the system at the same time6. Usually, one floating license
serves 3 to 5 users. When entering number of licenses above please divide your estimated number of users by 3. Consider using this method when you have more than
50 users.Your licensing fee is based on the number of licenses ordered, less
applicable discounts. If you decide to change the number of licenses, you must
contact customer support to obtain a new license key.
Fixed Named Seat - Similar to "Named Seat", but prohibits you from creating more user accounts than defined in your license. Your licensing fee is based on the number of licenses ordered, less
applicable discounts. To change the number of users you must contact customer support for the
new license key.
1 - Per instance. One instance of software means one copy of software
installed on one server and connected to one database. In normal configuration,
you do not need multiple copies. If you have special requirements,
please consult with us first.
2 - Limited Software Support includes assistance with initial setup, training
for designated Administrator, bug fixes, troubleshooting, minor software enhancements
and major updates (when available). Limited support does not include training
of your employees, routine administration tasks such as managing user accounts,
development of new customer-specific features to extend existing functionality
nor integration with existing software or databases. Such services may be provided
for an additional fee not related to your licensing charges. However, all enhancement
requests will be considered and may be included in a later version of the software.
3 - Full "Admin" support is an optional service provided with hosted
plan for organizations that temporary or permanently do not have a person responsible
for administration. This service includes assistance to your employees
via email or phone and routine administration tasks such as managing user accounts.
4 - Annual and semi-annual billing is available.
5 - billable accounts are all user accounts except 'Admin',
'Nobody', 'Guest', 'Inet' and all Internet user' accounts.
6 - User must logoff using "Logoff" button to
immediately release one license allocated to him. Otherwise, license will be released
automatically within approximately 15-20 minutes of inactivity.
